and they walk up front, we know its time for the
parents, bridesmaids/flowergirls to process,
so here is an example of a tune we’d play

The Celestial Flute and Harp Duo is a popular and elegant choice and best for indoor weddings as temperature has a decidedly negative effect on both instruments.  We are happy to perform outside, however,f we are shaded by a tarp or gazebo!
BIO A touch of class and elegance is what you will get with our beautiful harp and flute duo… the music is heavenly!  This is why we call ourselves the “Celestial Duo!”   In addition to playing weddings together for 15 years,  Barbara Gallagher, harp and Geri Rizzo, flute have played in the beautiful “posh” restaurants of the Atlantic City Casinos as well as for their corporate events and holiday parties.  We are both trained professionals and have studied with world-class instrumentalists in our field. Barbara attended the Philadelphia School of Performing Arts in Philadelphia, and Geri attended the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.  Our experience and talent have received rave reviews from all who have hired us.  

We not only play classical music, but beloved show tunes, movie themes, and standards… yes, we even jazz it up for the cocktail hour!  For weddings, we arrive one hour early, set up, then play 1/2 prelude music.  The ceremony then starts, and we perform processionals for the Moms (if wanted); the bridal party and the bride.  If there is a unity candle service or any other during the ceremony, we play for that; then the recessionals ensue.  For the cocktail hour, we play light classical, standards, and movie themes.  Bottom line, we sound beautiful!  Just listen…


Barbara Gallagher		 Some of Barbara Gallagher’s  experience includes appearances performing on harp at major venues including the Academy of Music Ballroom and the Bellevue Stratford Hotel. She also played as harpist with the Lansdale Symphony and the Rowan College Community Orchestra. Subsequently, she performed internationally at the Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Since then, she has spent the last twenty-one years performing as harpist in some of the most highly acclaimed gourmet restaurants in Atlantic City. She performed nightly with the harp at the Claridge Casino Hotel for eighteen years and at Caesars for three years. Barbara also performed at Ballys Casino Hotel during the Sunday Brunch.
Geri Rizzo,  primarily a classical flutist, plays any genre, Bach to Rock and has been performing over 25 years.  She is a member of the Atlantic Pops in Egg Harbor Township, NJ and the Pinelands Symphonic Band, Whiting, NJ, and has performed with the Ocean City Pops, as well as the Tristate Orchestra and Fine Arts Symphony in NY.   She is also a member of the Jersey Shore Jazz Vespers committee, Atlantic City where she performs with a jazz trio or quartet.  She has performed in Washington, DC, at the Peruvian Ambassador’s home with the Grammy Award Winning World Folk Group “Inca Son”, at Carnegie Hall with James Galway, and toured with the American Symphony when she was seventeen.  Also a trained singer, Geri is happy to sing along with the harp for your wedding for a solo or as a cantor.
